AI Teammates You Can Hire, a Redesigned Kanban & Ask Copera That Delivers Real Files

The biggest AI week yet: you can now hire AI teammates from a marketplace, give them a goal and a schedule, and let them work on their own. Ask Copera produces real downloadable files and can query and move data across every board. The Kanban view was completely redesigned, board views can be pinned to the actions bar, and chat gains stickers and read receipts.

New Features

AI Teammates — Hire, Mention, and Schedule Them

Workforce becomes a real roster of AI teammates that work alongside you (#3275):

• A Workforce home — a dedicated place to see your roster, create agents, and manage what they do. Any member can create an agent; hiring one into the workspace stays with admins.
• Hire with full transparency — before you hire, a review screen shows the agent's identity, exactly which capabilities it gets (color-coded by risk), and how it behaves by default.
• They answer like teammates — message a hired agent in a direct message, or @mention it in a channel it belongs to, and it replies as itself. Send a voice note and you get a spoken reply back.
• They work on their own — pair an agent with a goal in plain language and a daily schedule, and it runs headlessly: reading across the boards it has access to, reasoning, and delivering a report to a channel as itself. You can also run a job on demand at any time.
• They can talk to the team — scheduled agents can look up workspace members and message people directly as part of their job.
• An agent marketplace — browse published agents, read reviews from workspaces that installed them, and hire one in a click. Agents from the marketplace always ask before taking an action that changes something.
• 124 colorful agent avatars — a new pixel-art glyph set gives every agent a distinct face.

Ask Copera — Real Files, Cross-Board Data, and Honest Answers

Ask Copera now actually does the work instead of describing it (#3292, #3283):

• Real deliverables you can download — ask for an export or a document and you get a genuine file back: PDF, Excel, CSV, Markdown, HTML, JSON, or a ZIP, delivered as a download card and optionally saved to Drive.
• Questions across every board — search rows across boards, then count, sum, average, or group them server-side, without ever losing precision on large result sets.
• Move data between boards — copy a result set into another board, creating any missing columns automatically, with a review card before anything is written and a progress notification for large imports.
• Build board structure — create boards, tables, and columns, or update an existing column, all through the same review-before-acting flow.
• Honesty by design — Copera now knows exactly what it can and cannot do, and if it ever claims a file or link it didn't actually produce, it corrects itself. Destructive actions always require an explicit review, in every mode.
• Clearer feedback — tool results now name the rows, boards, and tables involved instead of showing raw identifiers, and a checklist shows longer jobs step by step.

Kanban, Completely Redesigned

A full visual and interaction overhaul of the Kanban view (#3299):

• Cards built for reading — cover images from your first file column, tinted status and label chips, a clamped title, compact property rows that hide themselves when empty, and a footer with row ID, description/comment/attachment badges, and assignee avatars.
• Lanes with personality — soft option-color tinting, a colored accent bar, a count in the header with hover actions, an empty-lane drop hint, and collapsible lanes that stay droppable and remember their state.
• Drag that feels right — a tilt-on-drag overlay, lift shadow, a dashed placeholder gap instead of a ghost card, smoother reflow, and full keyboard dragging.
• Faster — the board no longer rebuilds itself every time a row changes, and a Kanban-shaped skeleton shows while it loads.
• New settings — a "Card covers" toggle and lane collapse controls.

Pin Board Views to the Actions Bar

• Your most-used views, one click away — pin any board view or slice to the actions bar from its three-dots menu, pick an icon for it, and open it as a fully interactive extra-wide drawer with live updates while you keep working elsewhere. Pins can be reordered by drag and drop (#3277, #3281).

Message Read Receipts

• See who's read your message — message authors can open a read-receipts submenu on their own messages in direct messages and text channels to see exactly who has read it, with avatars and profile links (#3291).

Stickers in Chat

• Send a sticker — a new sticker picker in the composer with trending, recent, and favorite stickers, search, and category chips. Favorite the ones you love and they're always a tap away. Stickers render frameless, WhatsApp-style (#3285).

Automations — Smarter Date Anchors and Row Deletion

Closing the gaps found when people asked the AI for real-world recipes (#3295):

• Relative dates that anchor correctly — "30 days after the completed row's date" now anchors on the row that triggered the automation by default, with an explicit override, an "apply to" target for rows created by earlier steps, and minute/hour units.
• Pick options, don't type IDs — "changed from X to Y" conditions now offer proper option dropdowns instead of raw identifiers, and label columns are fully supported in conditions.
• Delete a row — a new delete-row action, guarded so it always runs with the publisher's own permissions, plus a publish-time warning when a delete could be reached without any condition in front of it.
• The AI understands more recipes — the automation AI now knows how to compose follow-up rows, target rows created in earlier steps, resolve option names, and notify people listed in a column.

Public API — More Coverage

• Know who you are — a new endpoint returns the authenticated user.
• Manage files on rows — upload and remove files on file columns, with attachment cleanup handled for you.
• Rows, aggregates, exports, and documents — the new cross-board query, aggregation, bulk-create, export, and document-generation capabilities are available through the Public API too (#3292).

Meetings — Better Recognition and Credit Checks

• Teach transcription your vocabulary — meeting note transcription now recognizes custom key terms, so product names and jargon come out right.
• No surprise failures — meeting bots check your available credits before starting, so a recording never fails halfway through.

Bug Fixes

• CSV export and import finally round-trip — exporting a board and importing it back no longer mangles values that start with =, +, -, or @ (like phone numbers), which had been causing mass import failures. The mapping step also got an overhaul: a clear skip-column toggle, a Continue button that always works and tells you exactly what's missing, and smarter automatic matching that ignores case, accents, and punctuation (#3282).
• Tempo timeline — dense overlapping events no longer stack unreadably; up to three columns pack side by side and the rest collapse into a "+N more" popover that opens details right where you clicked (#3287).
• Room scheduling — a batch of fixes to room booking, preserved call opt-outs, and legacy event locations (#3278).
• Bookings & Google Calendar — connecting Google Calendar now works reliably, group bookings with multiple seats no longer fail for the second attendee onward, approve/decline links from booking emails now land on a real page, recurring series send their communications correctly, reminders catch up after a downtime, and booking pages render correctly when opened on a specific month (#3276).
• Booking privacy — booker contact details are now visible only to hosts, event-type owners, and admins (#3276).
• Booking emails in your language — invite emails, calendar buttons, and dates now follow the recipient's language instead of defaulting to English, and a batch of broken accented characters was fixed (#3276).
• Ask Copera composer — re-selecting the default AI model works again, and the footer controls collapse neatly to icons inside narrow drawers (#3281).
• Transcriptions drawer — only the current month expands by default, search spacing is fixed, and the channel transcription view has a proper close button (#3281).
• Unsaved-changes dot — the blue dot now clears correctly on views filtered by date columns (#3281).
• Forms — required-field enforcement now respects conditional visibility, so hidden questions no longer block submission (#3290).
• Automation run history — run and step statuses now appear in your language instead of raw English values (#3297).
• Automation conditions — checkbox conditions now match correctly everywhere, instead of silently failing and letting a run report success without doing anything (#3297).
• Automation builder — the node inspector's close button now stays closed (#3297).
• Grid overlays — grid editors now layer correctly above actions-bar drawers (#3289).
• Table settings — long menu labels wrap instead of being clipped (#3298).
• Row comments — improved comment visibility on rows.
• Stickers — several fixes to sticker grid sizing, alignment under the author, and rendering on the desktop app.

Improvements

• Developer mode — a new dialog lets you browse and copy column and option identifiers when developer mode is on, which makes wiring up automations and integrations far easier (#3279).
