This week ships a brand-new high-performance Grid View for boards, built to handle large tables smoothly, along with Monday-style view tabs and per-user display modes. Formula and Rollup columns now format their results like Airtable and gained powerful new functions, transcriptions can be shared with roles, and right-click context menus arrived across chat and the navigation sidebar.

New Features

Boards — New Grid View

A high-performance replacement for the List view, built to stay fast even on very large tables (#3131):

  • Built for big tables — the Grid View renders large tables smoothly, with support for all 30 column types
  • Row height your way — choose compact, default, tall, or extra-tall rows, saved as your personal preference
  • Full keyboard & clipboard — copy and paste ranges of cells, with keyboard shortcuts for navigation and editing
  • Inline editing & grouping — edit cells in place, group rows, and add, delete, reorder, and resize columns directly
  • Group dates by day — when you group by a date column, records sharing the same day are now collected under one clean date header instead of being split by the time of day (#3167)

Boards — View Tabs & Display Modes

Choose how your board's views are laid out (#3166):

  • Five display modes — pick from left-nav + dropdown, left-nav only, dropdown only, tabs only, or left-nav + tabs, saved per user
  • Draggable view tabs — a Monday-style tab bar with an overflow dropdown and a per-tab actions menu (pin, manage, delete), with your tab order remembered per board

Boards — Airtable-level Formula & Rollup Formatting

Formula and Rollup columns now format their results properly (#3172):

  • Type-aware formatting — a formula or rollup that returns a date shows as a date, a true/false shows as a checkbox, and numbers honor duration formats, negatives, and percent scaling — no more raw values
  • Clear error handling — broken references show a red marker on the column header with a tooltip explaining the problem, and an #ERROR! token in the affected cells, just like Airtable
  • New formula functions — added IFERROR, ISERROR, ERROR, BLANK, ROUNDUP, ROUNDDOWN, XOR, WORKDAY, and WORKDAY_DIFF, with faster evaluation that only computes the branch it needs (#3145)

Transcriptions — Sharing with Roles

  • Share transcriptions with roles — transcriptions can now be shared with teammates as admin or member, with a richer shared notification and email that links straight to the transcription (#3162)

Chat & Navigation — Right-Click Menus

  • Right-click a chat message — a context menu brings reply, forward, thread, pin, copy, edit, and delete to a right-click, matching the hover toolbar (#3179)
  • Right-click in the sidebar — boards, tables, views, and documents now have right-click menus to open or jump to their settings (#3179)
  • Drag to resize the sidebar — set the left navigation width by dragging its edge (double-click to reset); your chosen width is saved to your account and applied instantly across browsers and devices (#3154)

Bug Fixes

  • Meeting channels — auto-transcription now reliably starts when the second person joins a reused meeting channel, and won't restart after someone manually stops it during a meeting (#3173)
  • Boards — fixed a batch of Grid View polish items and status/avatar sync issues uncovered in testing (#3135, #3140, #3149)
  • Boards — grid column headers now truncate cleanly and stay stable while resizing, and duplicate grid searches are prevented (#3156, #3155)
  • Boards — workflow transitions that require a field now prompt for it correctly (#3148)
  • Boards — the row-detail dialog auto-scrolls while you resize a widget taller, and the title editor no longer overlaps the row dialog (#3152, #3151)
  • To-Do view — to-do views whose date column was deleted are now repaired instead of breaking (#3139)
  • Forms — file uploads on public form submissions work again (#3146)
  • Inbox — read state in a shared inbox syncs across all members (#3161)
  • Calendar — meeting reminder times are now correct for each recipient's time zone, and a missed-call notification is sent when a call invite times out (#3115)
  • Editor — the slash-command menu now stays within the viewport, and selecting a single block with Ctrl/Cmd+A now visibly highlights it (#3158)
  • Accessibility & polish — fixed nested-button warnings in sidebar accordions, restored the analog clock in time pickers, and corrected a crash in the image-annotation color picker (#3174)

Improvements

Bankai — Notes Launcher & Speak-Aloud

  • Start Notes from any call — the in-meeting toolbar now has a Bankai Notes launcher so recording a meeting is one click, and the desktop no longer pops a "record this?" prompt when you join a Copera meeting (#3134)
  • Hear answers out loud — Ask and Vision modes now speak their answer when you ask for it out loud ("tell me out loud"), and Bankai mutes the meeting note's microphone while you talk to it so your words to Bankai never land in the meeting transcript (#3150)
  • Opt-in for new accounts — Bankai is now off by default for brand-new accounts and turned on when you choose; everyone who already had it keeps it (#3150)

Performance

  • Faster grids and chat — the Grid View was tuned to eliminate render churn that could slow large tables, and code blocks in chat now appear instantly while syntax highlighting fills in, so big messages no longer block the conversation (#3121)

Smart To-Do's Retiring

  • Moving to the board To-Do view — the older Smart To-Do's feature is retiring on June 6, 2026 in favor of the new board To-Do view, which supersedes it; a banner in Smart To-Do's points you to the new view (#3179)
