Bankai Notes Meeting Recorder, World-Class Table Exports & Find-a-Time Scheduling

This week introduces Bankai Notes — a meeting recorder that transcribes your calls live and writes an AI summary with key decisions and action items. We also shipped a world-class table-view exporter (CSV, Excel, JSON, scheduled exports, and saved presets), a Find-a-time availability scheduler for calendar events, major upgrades to Link, Lookup, and Rollup columns on boards, and a completely redesigned toast notification system.

New Features​

Bankai Notes — Record & Summarize Your Meetings​

A brand-new way to capture long meetings, hands-free (#3053):

  • Live meeting transcription — start a Notes session and a floating glass window streams the conversation as a live transcript, capturing both your microphone and the meeting audio
  • AI summary on demand — when you're done, generate a structured summary with section highlights, key decisions, and action items; pick from templates for 1-on-1s, design reviews, sales calls, interviews, standups, brainstorms, and general meetings
  • Add meeting context — give the AI a note about what the meeting was about to sharpen the summary, and refine it afterward in a chat-style thread
  • Mark highlights live — flag important moments with a shortcut while recording
  • Automatic meeting detection — opt in to have the desktop app notice when you join a Zoom, Teams, Meet, Slack, Discord, or Webex call and offer to start recording (#3053)
  • Your notes library — every recorded note lands in a dedicated Bankai Notes page where you can read the transcript, generate or refine the summary, and manage your library

Tables — World-Class Export (CSV, Excel, JSON & Scheduled)​

A complete overhaul of how you get data out of a board (#3041):

  • Choose what and how — pick and reorder the exact columns, export to CSV, Excel, or JSON, and control date, number, and multi-select formatting per export
  • Big exports run in the background — large exports are handled as background jobs and delivered with an in-app notification and email when they're ready, so you're never blocked
  • My Exports tray — track every export you've started and download finished files
  • Saved presets — save an export configuration as a reusable preset, including a default
  • Save straight to Drive — optionally drop the exported file into your Drive in addition to downloading it
  • Scheduled recurring exports — set an export to run on a schedule and fan out to multiple recipients automatically (#3041)

Calendar — Find-a-Time Availability Scheduler​

Scheduling with other people just got much easier (#3050):

  • Working hours & time off — set your weekly working hours and mark time off in a new Preferences page
  • Find a time — a Google-Calendar-style availability view inside the event form shows each participant's free and busy times side by side, so you can pick a slot that works for everyone

Boards — Link, Lookup & Rollup Upgrades​

A deep overhaul of the columns that connect your tables (#3013):

  • Full set of rollup math — roll up linked rows with Sum, Average, Median, Min, Max, Count, Count unique, Concatenate, Earliest, Latest, and more
  • Single or multiple links — choose whether a Link column allows one connection or many, and cap the maximum
  • Safer and more reliable — Link, Lookup, and Rollup columns now propagate changes more reliably across connected tables, with protection against broken or circular references

Workspace — Cascading Settings Menu​

  • Reach every setting fast — the workspace dropdown is now a cascading mega-menu that takes you straight to any settings page, and even to specific sections within a page (#3052)

Bankai — Customizable Answer Bubble​

  • Make AI answers your own — a new Appearance section in Bankai settings lets you turn on bionic reading (bolded word beginnings for faster reading), choose the answer text size and line spacing, and set how long the answer bubble stays before auto-dismissing, with a countdown bar that pauses when you hover (#3026)

Desktop App — One-Click Download​

  • Get the desktop app — a "Download desktop app" button now appears at the top of your profile menu when you're using Copera in a browser (#3030)

Bug Fixes​

  • Bankai Notes — the manual "Generate summary" button now works reliably, recorded audio is attached dependably, and the live transcript resets cleanly between sessions in the same window (#3064)
  • Boards — formula columns now show an error tooltip when something's wrong, and rollup values format correctly (#3059)
  • Inbox — stale email notifications and follow-up markers are now cleared correctly (#3058)
  • Virtual Office — your avatar stays in the sidebar during brief connection drops, and presence and background music recover after a reconnect instead of disappearing (#3054, #3049)
  • Boards — board tabs no longer overflow and sort incorrectly in the navigation (#3061)
  • Editor — a new image actions menu lets you act on images in your documents (#3059)
  • Profile — editing your profile no longer loses your in-progress changes when your user data updates (#3033)
  • Documents & boards — improved navigation and trash behavior across docs and boards (#3065)

Improvements​

Toast Notifications — A Modern Redesign​

  • Cleaner, clearer toasts — every notification across Copera now uses a redesigned, modern toast with a clear icon, optional description and action buttons, and a close button, and they're readable on every theme (#3056, #3055)

Ask Copera AI​

  • More reliable chat — Ask Copera AI no longer auto-navigates you out of a conversation when it runs a command (results now appear as a card you click), document previews never break the chat, and it picks the right model for the kind of question you ask (#3036)

View Management​

  • More flexible views — view-only members can now create their own private views, shared views show who owns them with clear "only the owner can edit" tooltips, you can duplicate or leave a shared view, and exports now reflect your live filters, sorting, and grouping (#3033)
