Communication Overview
Copera brings every conversation into one place so your team can move faster. Whether you need a quick text message, a face-to-face video meeting, a structured training session, or a shared team email inbox, you will find the right tool in the sidebar without ever leaving the platform.
Text Channels
Text channels are the backbone of daily team communication. Each channel is a persistent, topic-focused conversation where members can send messages, share files, and stay organized with threaded replies. You can @mention individual teammates or entire groups to get the right people's attention, and the built-in AI assistant can answer questions or summarize long conversations on demand. Messages can also be translated on the fly, making it easy to work across language barriers.

Meeting Channels
When you need to talk face-to-face, meeting channels provide full video conferencing without leaving Copera. Participants can share their screen, collaborate on a whiteboard, or co-edit documents in real time during the call. Every session can be transcribed with automatic speaker identification, and once the meeting ends the AI generates a summary of what was discussed. You can also schedule meetings ahead of time so everyone is prepared.

Classroom Channels
Classroom channels are purpose-built for training sessions, webinars, and educational content delivery. They give presenters fine-grained control over the audience experience, making it straightforward to host company-wide onboarding, product demos, or recurring workshops inside the same platform your team already uses every day.

Direct Messages
For private conversations, direct messages let you chat one-on-one or in small groups. Direct messages support the same rich messaging features as text channels, including file sharing and threads. For one-on-one conversations you can also start a peer-to-peer voice call directly from the chat header.

Inbox
Inbox turns Copera into your team's email client. Connect a custom domain and manage incoming and outgoing email alongside the rest of your communication. Threads are shared across the team so anyone with access can pick up a conversation, reply, or reassign it --- no more forwarding chains or lost context.

Command Palette
The command palette is the fastest way to navigate Copera. Press a keyboard shortcut to open a search-driven interface that lets you jump to any channel, send a quick message, join an active meeting, or create a task --- all without touching the mouse. Results update as you type, and recent commands appear first so your most common actions are always one keystroke away.
