Ask Copera Books Meetings and Writes Messages, a Rebuilt Kanban & Call History

Ask Copera stopped being read-only: it can now schedule, move and cancel meetings, post a channel message, prepare an email for you to send, and read across the meetings it finds — each one behind a review card you approve first. The Kanban board was rebuilt from the ground up, so boards with thousands of cards scroll smoothly and a card lands exactly where you drop it. And calls finally keep a history, with a Calls tab in every meeting room and missed-call chips in direct messages.

New Features

Ask Copera — From Answering to Doing

Ask Copera can now act on your calendar, your channels and your inbox, and every action still goes through a review card you confirm before anything happens (#3363):

• Meetings — ask it to book a meeting and it creates one in your own timezone, on the room you name, ringing the people you choose. It can also move or cancel a meeting it finds for you. One request can never book the same meeting twice, and a retry after a hiccup lands on the same event instead of a duplicate.
• Channel messages — ask it to post something and the card shows the exact channel and the exact text before you approve. Approving posts it once, and only once, and only to channels you are allowed to post in.
• Prepared emails — ask it to write an email and it fills in recipients, subject and body, then opens the composer over whatever page you are on. You press Send: the assistant never sends on your behalf. It can only address people your workspace already knows — a member or a saved contact.
• Reading your meetings — "based on our last few calls with this client, how likely are we to close?" now works. The assistant reads the full transcripts of the meetings it finds, across voice rooms, meeting recordings, Bankai notes and mobile recordings, and only the ones you already have access to.
• Meeting AI actions — ask it to create and publish an automation on a meeting room (for example, a transcription summary with action items posted to the channel) and it builds and publishes it, instead of explaining that it needs your confirmation and then stopping.
• Receipts you can follow — a committed meeting now shows what was created with an "Open event" link straight into the calendar, and a cancellation card names the event and its start time before you approve a deletion.

Boards the Assistant Can Actually Build

The assistant can now create every column type a board admin can (#3387):

• Link, lookup, rollup and formula columns — the four column types that make a board more than a spreadsheet are now available from a conversation, not just the 18 simple ones.
• Formulas checked before they are saved — an assistant-written formula is validated against the real formula language first, so you no longer end up with a column where every cell reads "Formula Error". Formula columns also store the right value type, so summing one in a rollup works.
• Exactly your permissions, no more and no less — the assistant now does precisely what you can do on a board. If you can add or rename a column by hand, you can ask for it; if you were recently demoted, the assistant loses that authority with you.
• No unrequested edits — a column's type cannot be changed after it is created. Asked to convert one, the assistant now explains that and offers a new column of the right type, instead of quietly renaming the one you have.
• Bad references caught before you approve — a reference to a column that does not exist is now refused while the assistant is still drafting, so you never approve a card that cannot be built.

Kanban, Rebuilt

The whole Kanban drag-and-drop and rendering layer was replaced (#3369, #3366, #3380):

• Smooth at scale — a board with thousands of cards now scrolls smoothly both sideways and inside a lane. Dragged frames dropped from roughly one in three to none on the reported board.
• You can see what you are dragging — the card follows your cursor as a real card instead of a snapshot that sometimes came out blank, and a faded, dashed placeholder shows exactly where it will land.
• Cards land where you drop them — repeatedly dropping cards at the top of a lane used to scramble their order after about sixteen moves. Positions are now repaired automatically as you drag, so boards that had already drifted heal themselves.
• Empty lanes accept cards — dropping into a status nobody has used yet no longer silently discards the move, and the same fix applies to moving cards with the keyboard.
• Big boards open fast — a large board paints its first cards almost immediately and fills in the rest in the background. Dragging and inserting stay disabled with a visible signal until the fill completes, so a card can never be filed against half-loaded data.
• Per-list summaries — up to five summary chips under every lane header (sum, average, min, max, count, percent and more), computed over that lane's cards with the same numbers and formatting as the grid. A board summary bar under the lanes shows the total card count and board-wide chips, and each list can hide a board-wide chip or add ones of its own (#3355).

Call History

Calls are now recorded as a real history you can look back at (#3388):

• A Calls tab in every meeting room — see past calls with who was invited, who joined, who declined and who missed it, with times and durations.
• Call chips in direct messages — a missed call and a completed call each leave a chip in the conversation, with the call duration on completed ones and a Call back button on missed ones.
• Missed-call notifications land in the right place — tapping a missed group call now opens the room's Calls panel instead of dropping you somewhere generic.

Date & Time, Your Way

• Your own date and clock format — Copera now stores your preferred date order (day/month/year, month/day/year or year/month/day) and clock (12-hour or 24-hour) alongside your language and timezone. It is inferred from your browser the first time and changeable from Settings or the account menu, and it drives dates and times across the app, including the calendar and board date columns (#3360).
• A searchable timezone picker everywhere — the same search-as-you-type, region-grouped timezone picker the calendar uses (with "3h ahead of São Paulo"-style hints) is now in Preferences and the account menu, and the Preferences page got a two-column layout with a live preview that updates as you change the settings (#3361).

Workload at Full Size

• Workload views open on huge boards — an 11,000-row board used to slow the whole app down until you hard-refreshed. The heavy work moved off your browser, so the view opens and stays responsive (#3370).
• Split or sum effort for shared tasks — a task with several assignees can either split its effort between them or count in full for each, matching how your team plans.
• Honest totals — if a board is large enough that the view had to limit what it draws, you now get a clear notice instead of a total that quietly covers only part of the board.
• Vacation days line up — vacation days were being read one day off in the capacity dialog and in the view; both now show the day you picked.

Billing You Can Manage Yourself

Workspace billing is now self-service (#3381):

• Invoices and receipts — a searchable invoice history, with the ability to pay an outstanding invoice directly.
• Saved payment methods — save and manage your payment methods, with more than just cards supported, and a billing profile with tax ID and country.
• Plan changes on your schedule — cancel or move to pay-as-you-go at the end of your billing period instead of immediately, and reactivate before it takes effect.
• A clearer past-due state — a workspace with a failed payment stays usable and shows a recovery banner with a direct action, rather than being locked out.

Bug Fixes

• Calendar — all-day events on the wrong day: an all-day event created on the 24th showed on the 23rd for anyone west of the workspace timezone, editing it genuinely moved it back a day, and a freshly created event vanished from the grid until you refreshed. All-day events now show the same calendar day for every viewer in every timezone, and stay put when you edit them (#3349).
• Calendar — the timeline lost its layout: the timeline went back to a single time column on the left with one hour scale per selected timezone, a full-width current-time line that slides as the day passes, clean day columns, and a calendar that opens centred on right now. The month view's day preview got the same current-time line (#3356).
• Calendar — Save that never finished: scheduling an event from a meeting channel with an email guest greyed out the Save button forever, with no spinner and nothing saved. The "send invitation emails?" step can no longer get stuck, and Save shows its loading state for the whole submission (#3354).
• Calendar — replies to invitations: an RSVP from one guest could overwrite another guest's answer when their addresses were similar, and a reply could be sent on someone else's behalf. Replies are now matched exactly and only ever apply to the person who actually sent them (#3385).
• Calendar — invitations to large groups: events with very large participant lists could silently lose their invitation, update and reminder emails, and reminders could get stuck retrying forever. Both are fixed (#3385).
• Automations — rows going blank: after an automation ran, rows could appear empty in everyone's grid until a refresh. Incoming updates now merge into the row you already have instead of replacing it (#3351).
• Automations — credited to the wrong person: a change made by an automation showed as made by the automation's owner in row history, activity and notifications. It now names the automation itself, with a robot icon (#3351).
• Automations — Create Row misconfigured by the assistant: the automation builder's AI left the destination table empty, invented a title nobody asked for, and could not link back to the row that triggered the run. It now resolves the table you named in any language, links the triggering row properly, and only sets a title when you ask for one. Cross-table Create Row and Find Rows also stopped writing to the wrong table (#3351).
• Ask Copera — turns that died silently: several ways a conversation could "think" and then produce nothing are fixed — a mistyped tool name, a request for something the chat cannot do, a clarifying question containing a long search string, and a conversation long enough to overflow the model's memory. The assistant also no longer reports an empty answer as done after it has already changed something in your workspace (#3363, #3378, #3387).
• Ask Copera — false progress reports: the assistant would print a table of ticks claiming a board, tables, columns and rows had all been created when none of them had, and would sometimes claim a column type "isn't supported" minutes after creating one. It now only reports what actually happened (#3387).
• Ask Copera — attachments: files attached to a conversation failed on durable runs, and are now uploaded and referenced correctly (#3359, #3384).
• Formula editor — a function that never existed: the editor was suggesting SPREAD(), which the formula language does not have, so picking it from the dropdown produced a column where every cell showed "Formula Error". The suggestion is gone, existing broken formulas were repaired, and a syntax check now stops a new one being saved (#3387).
• Boards — rollup filter conditions: switching a rollup condition from a number or date to a status, dropdown or people column could crash the value picker. Rollup condition filters are now stable (#3359, #3391).
• Boards — linked rows leaving lookups blank: linking a newly created row from the grid left its dependent lookup and rollup cells empty. They now fill in immediately and propagate to related rows (#3359).
• Boards — duration values: duration values entered on a row are now saved correctly (#3379).
• Boards — checklist add button clipped: the "add item" control at the bottom of a checklist was cut off in a constrained popover, especially near the bottom of the screen. The checklist now scrolls inside itself and the control always stays on screen (#3359).
• Boards — form description: a form's description now matches the table version it belongs to instead of showing the wrong text (#3374).
• Grid — grey dots blooming on grouped boards: grouped grid lines slowly brightened toward solid as the grid repainted, showing up as dots at the line intersections that snapped back on a full redraw (#3365).
• Grid — frozen loading placeholders: skeleton rows on an ungrouped board rendered but never shimmered, and scrolling re-rendered far more of the grid than it needed to. Scrolling is now noticeably lighter and placeholders animate again (#3367, #3368).
• Inbox — slow loading: opening the inbox on the web is significantly faster; the work that used to happen while you waited now runs in the background (#3376).
• Inbox — empty overdue filter: the overdue follow-ups filter came back empty even when there were overdue items. Sent and off-page follow-ups now show up, and the actions on each one work (#3383).
• Voice messages — two playing at once: playing a second voice message did not stop the first, so two voices talked over each other. And picking 1.5x applied to that one message only. Playback speed is now a single preference that sticks across every voice message, and only one plays at a time (#3373).
• Voice rooms — recording disclosure: joining a meeting that was already being recorded played no audible note-taking cue at all, so anyone who arrived after it started was never told. The cue now plays when you join an in-progress recording, guests included (#3364).
• Calls — an iPhone ringing for the wrong account: a phone logged out of one account and into another could keep ringing for the old one, and a fresh install could show a badge before anyone logged in. A device now belongs to exactly one account, rings name the account they are for, and stale registrations are cleared out automatically (#3388, #3390, #3393).
• Chat — code blocks in your own messages: fenced code inside your own message bubbles was rendered in white on a light background and was unreadable. Code blocks now keep their normal colors everywhere.
• Chat — scheduled messages marked sent when they never were: a scheduled message could be flipped to "sent" while the message itself never arrived, and stranded messages were invisible to their author. Delivery is now confirmed before anything is marked sent, stuck messages are picked back up automatically, and a message that truly cannot be delivered is marked failed with a reason (#3359).
• Chat — scheduled message details: the destination of a scheduled message now shows the channel name or the person you are messaging (with their avatar) instead of your own name, and the send time is shown in your own timezone (#3359).
• Chat — blank direct messages: it was possible to start a direct message with no recipient, creating an empty conversation. The composer now stays disabled until a real recipient is chosen (#3359).
• Booking — broken links: booking page links and their spam protection are working again (#3358).
• Setup — the wizard restarting itself: creating a workspace could bounce you back to the beginning of the setup wizard mid-way through, or redirect you back to the wizard after it finished. Both are fixed, and workspace owners keep their roles through setup.
• Contacts — toolbar icon: the Contacts top-bar icon now matches the other toolbar icons in every theme (#3359).
• Translations — "Boards": Boards stays untranslated as a product name in every language (#3352).

Improvements

• Board permissions enforced everywhere — hidden tables and restricted rows are now consistently enforced on every path a board can be read from, including direct links and integrations (#3389, #3370).
• Smarter models for board work — any conversation that touches a board now runs on the strongest available models. Building a board is a chain of dependent steps, and a weaker model would lose the thread halfway through and leave half-built structure behind (#3387).
• Image generation that picks its own model — Ask Copera now chooses an image model from a full ranked list, starting with the cheapest that fits and stepping up when your request is genuinely demanding or when you ask it to refine the same image again. Editing an image you already generated works again after being refused outright (#3363).
• Fewer duplicate creations — asking for one thing now creates exactly one thing. A meeting requested once could produce three identical events with three approval cards, and a board created with a named table could end up with two of that table. Both are closed (#3363).
• Meeting room header — the meeting-channel header now shows an icon with a "Scheduled meetings" label instead of a bare icon that read as disabled (#3354).
