Tempo Calendar & Booking for Everyone, Granular Board Permissions & a Mobile-Ready Web App

The biggest week of the quarter: Tempo — the Copera calendar — and Booking are now switched on for every workspace, with real all-day events, week and day views, physical address locations, availability shading and search. Boards gain granular permissions down to individual columns, tables and rows, with custom roles and a preview-as mode. And after a full responsiveness campaign, the web app finally works properly in a phone browser.

New Features

Tempo — Calendar & Booking, Now for Everyone

Tempo and Booking are out of early access and available in every workspace, together with a large overhaul (#3336):

• Real all-day events — clicking a single empty day in the month view now creates a proper all-day event instead of a midnight-to-midnight block. All-day events keep their date for every viewer regardless of timezone, and invite, update and reminder emails now say "All day" instead of "00:00".
• Week and day views — alongside month and timeline, with secondary timezone bars that stay put between sessions, so working across timezones is readable at a glance.
• Physical address locations — give an event a real street address with type-ahead autocomplete and a map preview, next to the existing room and meeting-link options. The address travels with the calendar invite and the email.
• Availability shading — the calendar now shades your available and unavailable hours, so you can see at a glance where a meeting actually fits.
• Event search and keyboard shortcuts — jump to any event by name and move around the calendar without touching the mouse.
• A smarter countdown pill — the "In 15m" pill in the top bar now escalates as the meeting approaches: neutral, then amber at 15 minutes, then a green "Join now" once the room is joinable. The icon changes with it, so the cue works without relying on color. Clicking it opens and focuses that event on the calendar.
• One place to schedule meetings — the old channel-settings "Call Schedule" tab is retired. Rooms now have a single Meetings dropdown listing upcoming meetings, with "Schedule meeting" opening the Tempo form prefilled with that room, and owner-only cancel. Existing scheduled calls were carried over automatically, keeping their times, recurrence and participants.
• Per-attendee ring control — choose who actually gets rung when a scheduled meeting starts, and the organizer is now a real participant on their own events.
• No more double bookings — the booking flow now has a hard guarantee against two people grabbing the same host and slot at the same time.

Granular Board Permissions

Boards move from "everyone with access sees everything" to precise, enforced control (#3274):

• Column-level access — restrict who can read or write individual columns. Restricted values are replaced by a placeholder everywhere they could otherwise leak: the grid and all views, row history and activity, dashboards, exports, public forms, global search, notifications, automations, row duplication, templates and the Public API.
• Hidden tables — hide entire tables from people who shouldn't see them, consistently across listings, search, forms and clones.
• Row-level visibility and scope — limit a person to only the rows they own or are assigned to, with dashboards suppressing aggregates that would otherwise reveal what's hidden.
• Custom board roles — build your own roles instead of juggling individual flags, and set them from a single role picker per member. A permissions matrix shows exactly who can do what across the board.
• Preview as — board admins can see the board exactly as another member or role sees it, so you can verify a setup before trusting it.
• Request access — when someone hits a restricted board, table or column, they can request access instead of hitting a dead end, and the owner gets a notification.
• Column freeze — lock a column against edits in one click, with a clear lock indicator on the frozen column.

Ask Copera — Runs That Survive Anything

Ask Copera conversations are now durable: the work runs on our side, not in your tab (#3320):

• Refresh, close, come back — a long answer keeps running even if you reload the page, lose connection or switch devices. When you return, the conversation picks up exactly where it was, with no vanished answers.
• See what it's doing — live activity rows show each step as it happens, and the conversation list shows a status indicator per chat (working, needs attention, failed, unread) plus a relative "last activity" time.
• Full entity coverage — create and edit docs, boards, tables, columns, rows, board views, automations and bookings straight from a conversation, each with a review card you confirm before anything is written, and an "Open" link to jump to what was created.
• Calendar answers that make sense — "what's on my calendar" now answers in your own timezone, expands recurring events, includes meetings you were invited to and handles daylight-saving shifts correctly.
• Weekly content automation — schedule a recurring workflow that researches, writes and illustrates content into a marketing board, with a review step before anything is published.

Notifications, Unified

• One consistent notification path — the notification bell and push notifications now come from the same place, so what you see in the app and on your phone always agree (#3322).
• Calls ring everywhere — incoming calls now reach every one of your devices consistently, and stop ringing on all of them the moment you answer on one.
• Tempo reminders and push preferences — calendar reminders are wired into the same system, and you can tune which push notifications you want to receive.

Copera on Your Phone Browser

A dedicated campaign to make the web app usable on a phone (#3312):

• Row dialog on mobile — switch between widgets and comments with a header toggle; drafts survive the switch.
• Full-screen where it matters — settings dialogs, board settings, the export dialog, the import wizard, the email composer, the threads/mentions/notification centers and the AI rail all go full-screen below the phone breakpoint instead of being clipped.
• No more off-screen panels — around twenty fixed-width popovers across boards, chat, docs, Drive, calendar and settings now clamp to the viewport.
• Automation center and Tempo on mobile — headers stack instead of clipping the Create button, and the Tempo sidebar no longer eats the phone viewport.
• Mobile app banner — visitors on an Android or iOS browser see a dismissible banner pointing at the Copera app, now linked to the correct listing for their own country's store (#3315).

Share an AI Conversation

• View-only sharing — conversation owners can share an Ask Copera conversation with members or teams as view-only, with a shared indicator, a read-only banner for viewers and a notification when a conversation is shared with you. Only the owner can ever write to it, and unsharing revokes access immediately (#3314).

More

• Sidebar quick filter — a lightweight filter above the Communicate channel list finds any channel instantly by fuzzy name match, even inside collapsed categories, and the Ask Copera conversation search now uses the same slim control (#3311).
• Paste images into attachment cells — Ctrl+V now uploads clipboard images straight into an attachment cell on the grid, matching the paste-to-upload flow chat and comments already had. Copying a range from a spreadsheet still pastes as text (#3341).
• List view is retiring on July 31 — every list view now shows a banner with a one-click convert to grid, plus an option to convert all your list views at once (#3321).
• Smarter model routing — Ask Copera and every other AI surface now pick the model that scores best on the specific kind of task at hand, instead of the best all-round model (#3310).

Bug Fixes

• Calendar duplicates: an emailed invite could create two cards for the same meeting, and deleting either one removed both. Duplicates can no longer be created, existing duplicate pairs were merged, and connected Google calendars now recognize an invite you already have instead of importing a copy (#3336).
• Calendar events failing to save: creating an event without picking an address, or dragging and resizing an existing event, failed with a "location is required" error after the Tempo release. Events without a location save normally again, and stored locations are preserved when you drag a meeting (#3348).
• Calendar timeline: events that only partially overlap now render side by side instead of stacking on top of each other (#3336).
• Calls — phones kept ringing: answering a call by clicking into the room (rather than the Accept button) left your other devices ringing for the full minute. Both ways of answering now stop the ring everywhere (#3346).
• Calls — scheduled meetings never rang: a scheduled room call that included the organizer in the invite list silently failed to ring anyone. Fixed, and ring notifications now expire after a minute instead of potentially waking a device much later (#3342).
• Calls — ringback that never stopped: the outgoing ring tone could keep playing after the call timed out or you hung up, until you refreshed the page. It now always stops with the call — and it now actually plays for the caller, which it previously never did (#3343, #3344).
• Calls — answering on an older mobile build: answering on an older app version could immediately kill the call you just answered. The server now waits a moment before telling the answering device to stop ringing (#3350).
• Calls — call-end states: an invited person's tile now shows a clear "didn't answer" or "can't talk right now" state with the right follow-up action, instead of silently disappearing, and "Send message" hangs up and puts your cursor in the composer (#3343, #3344).
• Voice rooms for guests on mobile: guests joining a room from a phone browser no longer see cropped controls or a false "Unauthorized access" message (#3341).
• Lookup and formula columns: lookup values that appeared blank in the app and in exports are repaired and recompute correctly, and formula errors now show one consistent #ERROR! marker across the grid, row drawer, Kanban, dashboards, copy and CSV export, with the detailed message in the tooltip (#3318).
• Email attachments: attachments between 10 MB and 25 MB were rejected with a generic error. They now send, and anything genuinely over the limit gets a clear size message (#3308).
• Row templates: saving or instantiating a row template containing a checklist, file or location value no longer fails the whole write (#3308).
• Automations: checkbox conditions authored by AI now run instead of failing with an unsupported-operator error; single values in link, file, label and people columns are accepted on create-row; and run failures now show a translated reason instead of raw English (#3308).
• Automations — publish crash: publishing an automation could crash with a validation error and refuse to save. The root cause is fixed, malformed steps self-heal, unknown operators and failed formulas now skip gracefully with a clear warning in run history instead of breaking the run, and publish failures surface a translated message with the issues panel refreshed (#3319).
• Ask Copera — draft actions: a recoverable hiccup mid-answer no longer marks the whole turn as failed, which used to leave review cards permanently stuck as drafts that could never be confirmed (#3338). A permissions error from a tool now comes back as a correction the assistant can act on, instead of ending the answer (#3347).
• Chat read state across tabs: reading a conversation on another tab or device now clears the "new messages" divider immediately, day-old background tabs no longer erupt in a burst of queued sounds, and a call notification can no longer ring forever with nothing to answer (#3319).
• Avatars: profile pictures are no longer center-cropped into a square server-side, so faces stay intact, and the inbox thread header no longer squashes the sender avatar when there are many recipients (#3319).
• Board tooltips: tooltips across boards, the grid and the Gantt view can now be dismissed and no longer linger or overlap what you're trying to click; column resizing and truncated-text popovers behave predictably (#3339).
• Long checklists: a long checklist now scrolls inside its own container instead of stretching the row widget, list view or Kanban card without limit (#3341).
• Date filters: filters and dashboards using relative dates (today, this week, and similar) now resolve against the right day for your timezone (#3317).
• Action bar: opening a chat from Recents no longer fails once you have many pinned items — the oldest pin now makes room instead of blocking the pin entirely (#3308).
• Booking pages: fixed the booking page's spam protection configuration so booking links work reliably in production (#3308).
• Desktop app: the Bankai overlay can be turned off again after the window is recreated (#3341).
• Copera AI and automations: a round of general reliability hardening across the assistant and the automation engine (#3302, #3304).

Improvements

• Call bar polish — the notes and AI buttons stay inline in the call bar instead of wrapping, split buttons lost their uneven seam and stray baseline strip, and the dropdown chevron now sits on the right where you'd expect it.
• Meeting reliability — room invitations are now sent directly when the call connects rather than relying on a background signal, so the person you're calling rings even when the network hiccups, and invitations can never reach someone outside your workspace.
• Board and automation permissions — automations, AI tools and collaborative editing all now read data with the same permissions as the person who triggered them, so a workflow can never surface data its owner isn't allowed to see.
