AI Teammates You Can Hire, a Reimagined Automation Builder & My Work Across Every Board
A landmark week. You can now hire AI teammates that act as real members of your workspace — answering messages and running scheduled tasks on their own — the automation builder was reimagined with dozens of new triggers and integrations, and a new My Work view brings everything assigned to you across every board into one place. On top of that: new trust and control settings for Ask Copera, and a major Dashboards upgrade.
New Features
Workforce — Hire AI Teammates That Work On Their Own
A new Workforce area lets you create and hire AI teammates that participate in your workspace like real members (#3275):
- Hire an agent — browse a roster of AI teammates and review exactly what each one is allowed to do in an approval dialog before adding it to your workspace.
- They answer DMs and mentions — message a hired agent in a direct message, or @mention it in a channel it belongs to, and it replies as itself, in text or with a spoken voice note.
- Autonomous scheduled jobs — give an agent a standing task in plain language ("by 8pm, check with everyone on how things are going and post a report on who to worry about") and a daily time, and it runs on its own: reading the team's boards, messaging members, and posting its report.
- They can create and update work — depending on the permissions you grant, an agent can create and update board rows and documents, draft proposals and summaries, and even set up new boards, tables, and channels.
- Agent marketplace — discover, review, and hire agents that others have published, with a clear approval process and capability and risk labels shown before anything runs (rolling out gradually).
- Colorful agent avatars — pick from 124 distinctive pixel-art avatars when creating an agent.
Every agent's permissions are shown up front, an agent can never do more than you allow, and the autonomous surface deliberately has no delete or external-send capabilities.
Ask Copera AI — Trust & Control
Ask Copera gains fine-grained control over how much it does on your behalf (#3262):
- Effort dial — choose how much thinking power to put behind a request, from quick answers to maximum reasoning.
- Permission modes — decide whether Ask Copera plans only, asks for approval before each action, or acts on its own, with a clear one-time warning before you turn on the hands-off modes.
- Plan-only drafts — in plan mode, the assistant shows exactly what it would do without changing anything.
- Automation help — Ask Copera can now understand, diagnose, and draft automations from a plain-language description, presented as a proposal that creates nothing until you approve it.
- Knows where you are — with a board, doc, channel, or meeting open, the assistant understands "this board" without you spelling out which one.
- Reusable agents — save your own agent setups (instructions, tools, and defaults) to reuse inside Ask Copera.
Automation Builder — Reimagined, With Dozens of New Blocks
The automation builder got a major usability and capability upgrade (#3272, #3273, #3266):
- Easier canvas — larger connection points, drag-to-connect with a drop-to-insert block picker, and links you can reconnect or delete.
- Per-field help and smart pickers — every field now has a plain-language description and info tooltip; dynamic pickers pull live choices (Google Sheets tabs, calendars, WordPress categories) from your connected accounts, plus recipient chip pickers with member suggestions.
- New triggers — start an automation from an incoming webhook, a received email, a chat message, a new Gmail message, a new workspace member, a new booking, a calendar event, a logged time entry, or an SLA breach.
- New actions and integrations — connect and act on GitHub (create issues), HubSpot (update contacts), Google Sheets and Drive, Slack, and WhatsApp, plus text-to-speech, AI web research, and data enrichment steps.
- Control flow — condition/filter gates, "for each" loops that run a branch once per item, and wait steps that pause an automation for a set time or until a date.
- Dynamic value engine — reference values from earlier steps anywhere in your automation.
- Label columns in conditions — build automation conditions on multi-option label columns (#3279).
My Work — Everything Assigned to You, Across Every Board
A new My Work view gathers every row assigned to you into one place, available as both a quick side drawer and a full page (#3270):
- One due-ordered list — all your assigned rows across every board, sorted by due date with overdue items first, plus instant search by row ID or name.
- Quick complete — hover any row to check it off, with a satisfying completion animation and a burst of confetti.
- At-a-glance dashboard — the full page shows counts for Open, Overdue, Due this week, and Done, and how many boards and tables you're pulling from.
- Per-source controls — mute a board, filter which of its rows appear, and choose which columns map to assignee, status, and due date.
- Show rows you created — an optional toggle to include rows you created, not just the ones assigned to you.
Dashboards — Every Column, Option, and Table Now Works
A major hardening pass so any kind of data can be charted (#3271):
- Full column coverage — SLA, voting, checkbox, tracker, and lookup columns can now be charted and grouped, and SLA values render as clean h:mm:ss clocks.
- More chart controls — set goals for summary and gauge widgets, sort chart results, toggle an "Other" grouping, and pick date granularity (day, week, or month).
- Smarter AI builder — the AI dashboard builder now verifies its work against your real columns before finishing, so AI-built charts are accurate.
Pin Board Views to the Actions Bar
- Pinned view drawers — pin any board view from its three-dots menu with an icon of your choice; it opens as a fully interactive, extra-wide drawer with live updates, right where you're working (#3277).
- Board icons everywhere — new boards now require an icon, and board icons appear on My Work sources for easier recognition (#3277).
Sign In Faster with Passkeys
- Passkey-first two-factor login — when you have a passkey set up, two-factor sign-in now defaults to it and starts automatically, with a fallback to your authenticator code.
Bug Fixes
- AI Usage & billing pages — fixed a crash that replaced the Workspace AI Usage and billing pages with an error screen (#3265).
- Google Calendar connect — fixed the "Connect Google" button for calendar sync, including a Safari-safe popup and clearer success and failure messages (#3276).
- Bookings & Tempo scheduling — many fixes: additional attendees can reserve seats reliably, cancelling and confirming no longer conflict, approve and decline links in booking emails now work, and booking pages load correctly in every timezone (#3276).
- Board view access — tightened who can open a board view so access always matches a viewer's role on the board (#3277).
- Meeting notes — recurring meeting notes and speaker identification are more reliable, and live transcripts now appear even if saving is briefly delayed (#3267).
Improvements
- Higher-quality meeting transcripts — the meeting recorder now captures audio in longer segments for better transcript quality and uses a speaker-focused recording view (#3267).
- Clearer meeting errors — when a meeting recording service has a problem, you now see a clear message in your language instead of a generic failure.
- Workspace AI usage page — redesigned with date-range presets, a measure toggle, and drill-down into the underlying activity; all active members now appear even when they have zero usage.
- Room scheduling — Tempo events and booking types now turn their room-call toggle on by default for room-backed meetings, and location entry is streamlined to Copera rooms or a pasted meeting link (#3278).
- Comment visibility — row comments can now be marked internal or external, with external participants automatically kept out of internal comments.
- Workspace switching for guests — external users can now switch between workspaces straight from their profile menu (#3268).
- File attachments via the API — the developer API can now upload files to and remove them from file columns, with automatic cleanup if an upload fails.
- Admins can reset a member's two-factor — workspace admins can reset a member's two-factor authentication, and the member is notified by email.
