Copera Bookings

Copera Bookings turns Tempo into a complete self-service scheduling system — Calendly-grade booking pages that live right inside your workspace. Create a booking type, claim a public handle, share the link or embed it on your site, and let anyone pick an open slot, answer your intake questions, and confirm. Tempo creates the event and sends calendar invites automatically, so the back-and-forth of "what time works for you?" disappears.

Because Bookings is built into Tempo, every open slot is calculated from your real availability — your working hours, your existing events, your time off, captured meetings, and any connected Google Calendar you choose to block with. You never get double-booked, and you manage every booking from one place: the Booking Hub.

How Bookings Works

A booking moves through three simple stages:

  1. You set it up once. Create a booking type that defines what the meeting is, when you are available for it, where it happens, and who hosts it.
  2. Someone books a slot. A visitor opens your public booking page, picks an open time, fills in their details and any intake questions, and confirms.
  3. Tempo handles the rest. The event lands on your calendar, invites go out automatically, and the booking appears in your Booking Hub where you can confirm, reschedule, or cancel it.

Booking Types

A booking type is the heart of Bookings. Each one is a reusable meeting template that controls:

  • What — the title, duration (anywhere from 1 minute up to 8 hours), and color.
  • When — which availability the page draws from, how far ahead people can book, minimum notice, and buffers around each meeting.
  • Where — the meeting location, such as a Copera meeting channel, Google Meet, phone, in person, or a custom link.
  • Who — the host or hosts, and how bookings are routed among them.

You can create as many booking types as you need — a quick "15-minute chat", a deep "90-minute strategy session", a recurring "weekly office hours" — and share them all from your public handle.

tip

Start with one or two booking types that match how people most often want to meet with you. You can always add more later, and a focused page is easier for visitors to use.

The Public Booking Page

Your booking page is the public face of Bookings. It shows your name, the booking types you have published, and — once a visitor picks one — a slot picker with your open times. Bookers do not need a Copera account; anyone with the link can schedule with you.

You can personalize the page with a title, description, accent color, and a custom web address (slug), and optionally require email verification so only people who can receive a one-time code can book.

Sharing and Embedding

Once a booking type is ready, you can:

  • Share a link — drop your booking link into an email, a chat message, or a signature.
  • Embed it — place the booking page directly on your own website so visitors book without leaving.
  • Generate a QR code — let people scan to book from a poster, business card, or screen.
  • Send a private or single-use link — for invitations meant for one person or one booking.

See Sharing & Embedding for the full walkthrough.

The Booking Hub

Every booking you host shows up in the Booking Hub, your dashboard for managing scheduled and pending meetings. From there you can:

  • Confirm or decline bookings that need your approval.
  • Reschedule or cancel a booking.
  • Mark a host or booker no-show.
  • Reassign a booking to another host (for team booking types).

See Managing Bookings for details.

Example Use Cases

  • Freelancer intro calls — a "30-min intro call" booking type shared from your handle, so prospects self-schedule without emailing back and forth.
  • Sales demos — a "Product demo" booking type that collects the prospect's company and team size as intake questions and automatically creates a row in your CRM board for each booking.
  • Support sessions — a "Ticket booking" routed round-robin across the support team with a required priority question.
  • Recurring office hours — a weekly series your students or teammates can drop into.
  • In-person appointments — a daily-capped booking type with a 24-hour cancellation policy.

Limits and Notes

  • Booking types are workspace-scoped — they belong to your workspace, not just to you.
  • Each host has one personal handle, which you can rename.
  • Booking duration ranges from 1 minute to 8 hours.
  • Bookers see a static list of open slots — there is no in-page "find a time" grid on the public page (that grid is for hosts inside Tempo).
  • Seated group events and recurring series are mutually exclusive — a booking type can be one or the other, not both.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Copera Bookings?

Copera Bookings is a self-service scheduling system built into Tempo. You create booking types (such as a 30-minute intro call), share a public link or embed it on a site, and visitors pick an open time slot, answer any intake questions, and confirm. Tempo creates the event and sends calendar invites automatically. It is a Calendly-grade booking experience that lives right alongside your Tempo calendars and availability.

Do people need a Copera account to book a time with me?

No. Your booking page is public. Anyone with the link can pick a slot, enter their name, email, and timezone, answer your intake questions, and confirm — no account required. You can optionally ask bookers to verify their email with a one-time code before the booking is created.

How are open time slots calculated?

Slots come from your availability — your Tempo working hours or a custom schedule you set for the booking type — minus anything that already makes you busy, such as existing events, time off, captured meetings, and connected Google Calendar events you have chosen to block availability with. Buffers, minimum notice, and booking limits further refine which slots appear.

Can a booking be assigned to a team instead of one person?

Yes. A booking type can use one of three host modes: Solo (one host), Collective (every listed host must be free, ideal for panel interviews), or Round-robin (Copera rotates through a pool of hosts using weighting, priority, and fairness rules so bookings spread evenly across the team).

Does a confirmed booking add a calendar invite automatically?

Yes. When a booking is confirmed, Tempo creates the event on your calendar and sends a calendar invite to the booker and any hosts. If you have two-way Google Calendar sync turned on, the event also appears in your Google Calendar.
