Availability & Working Hours
Telling Copera Tempo when you're normally available — and when you're away — lets your team schedule with you, not around you, and powers the slots people see on your booking pages. Your working hours mark the times you're open for meetings, and your time off blocks out vacations, holidays, and sick days. Both feed Find a Time, your public booking pages, and the Tempo AI scheduler, so the right slots stand out and nobody books over your day off.
Where to Find These Settings
Your working hours and time off live in your Tempo settings:
- Open Tempo and go to Settings.
- Open Availability.
- You'll see your weekly working hours and your time off.
These are your own settings — each person sets their own availability, and you can change yours anytime. Changes apply immediately.
If you don't customize your hours, Tempo assumes a standard Monday–Friday, 9 to 5 schedule until you change it.
Setting Your Working Hours
Working hours tell Tempo which parts of each day you're typically available for meetings.
- In Availability, you'll see a row for each day of the week.
- Turn on the days you work. Days you leave off are treated as fully unavailable.
- For each working day, add one or more time ranges in 24-hour format (for example, 09:00 to 17:00).
- Need a break in the middle of the day? Add another range to the same day — for example, 09:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00 — to carve out a lunch break.
- Your changes save and apply right away.
Multiple Ranges Per Day
You can add several ranges to a single day to reflect a split schedule. The only rule is that ranges on the same day can't overlap — if two ranges collide, Tempo asks you to adjust them before saving.
A split schedule is perfect for a built-in lunch break or a part-time block. Set 09:00–12:00 and 13:00–17:00 and the noon hour stays free of meetings automatically.
Adding Time Off
Time off blocks out periods when you're away, so teammates won't try to schedule meetings — and bookers won't see slots — during your vacation or sick leave.
- In the Time off section, click Add Time Off.
- Choose a type so people understand the reason at a glance:
- Vacation
- PTO (paid time off)
- Sick
- Holiday
- Custom
- Set a start date and end date — both are inclusive, so the whole range counts as time off.
- Add an optional note (for example, "Back on the 5th").
- Save it.
Your time off appears as a list, where you can edit or remove any entry later. Time off is added one entry at a time.
Time off blocks the whole day for the dates you choose. While you're away, bookers won't see any slots and the find-a-time grid shows you as off.
How Your Availability Is Used
Once you've set your working hours and time off, they shape scheduling across all of Tempo:
- In Find a Time, your working hours show as available time and your off-hours appear dimmed, so teammates can see when you're open.
- On your booking pages, only the times inside your working hours — and outside your time off — are offered as bookable slots.
- The Tempo AI scheduler respects your working hours and time off when it proposes times.
- Times when you already have events show as busy, without revealing what those events are.
Your working hours are always calculated in your own time zone. If you work with people in other regions, everyone's availability lines up correctly no matter where they are.

Example Use Cases
- Retail-style hours — Monday to Friday 10:00–18:00 plus Saturday 10:00–14:00, so weekend availability is offered too.
- A split-shift schedule — morning and evening ranges with the afternoon free, reflected automatically in find-a-time and booking pages.
- A two-week vacation block — added as a single Vacation time-off entry, so every booking slot during those dates disappears.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I set my working hours?
Go to Tempo → Settings → Availability. For each weekday, turn it on and add one or more start-and-end ranges. Days with no ranges are off. Add several ranges to one day for a split schedule.
Can I take a lunch break out of my working hours?
Yes. Add two ranges to the same day — a morning range and an afternoon range — with the gap in between marked as unavailable. Ranges on the same day just can't overlap.
What time-off types can I choose?
Vacation, PTO, Sick, Holiday, or Custom, each with an optional note. Time off blocks the whole day for the dates you set.
Who can see my working hours and time off?
Teammates see your availability indirectly when they schedule with you — in find-a-time, your open hours, off-hours, and time off shape the picture they get. They don't see the details of your individual events.
Does my availability affect my booking pages?
Yes. Your booking pages only offer slots inside your working hours and outside your time off, so your public availability always reflects your real schedule.
Will time off cancel my existing meetings?
No. Time off blocks the period for future scheduling and signals you're away; it doesn't remove events already on your calendar.
