Create a Workspace

A workspace is your team's home in Copera — it's where all your channels, boards, documents, and files live. Every team starts by creating a workspace, and from there you can invite members, set up channels, and start collaborating.

Sign up and create your workspace

  1. Go to app.copera.ai and click Sign Up
  2. Enter your name, email address, and password to create your account
  3. You'll be taken to the workspace creation wizard

The wizard walks you through three steps to get your workspace ready:

Step 1: Name your workspace

Choose a name that represents your team or organization — for example, your company name or department. This name will appear in the sidebar and in invitations sent to your team.

  • Workspace name (required) — The display name for your workspace
  • Logo (optional) — Upload a square image (max 3 MB) to visually identify your workspace

You can change the workspace name and logo at any time from Settings > General.

Step 2: Invite your team

You can invite team members right away by entering their email addresses, or skip this step and invite people later.

  • Enter one or more email addresses
  • Optionally add a custom invite message
  • Invitees will receive an email with a link to join your workspace

Don't worry if you're not ready to invite everyone yet — you can always invite more members from Settings > Members later.

Step 3: Confirm your free workspace

Every new workspace starts free, with unlimited seats, 20 GB of pooled drive storage, and a $5/month AI gift to try things out. There's nothing to buy at signup — just confirm and continue.

When specific members want more AI, bigger storage, or their own inboxes, you add paid seats just for them later:

  • Pro seat — $20/month each, purchased in lots of 5. Each Pro seat adds $40 in AI credit, 100 GB of drive, and 1 inbox to the workspace pool.
  • Max seat — $100/month each, purchased in lots of 3. Each Max seat adds $500 in AI credit, 500 GB of drive, and 5 inboxes to the workspace pool.

Paid and free seats can be mixed in the same workspace — you only pay for the members who actually need more power. Resources unlocked by paid seats pool at the workspace level, so the whole team benefits.

After completing the wizard, you'll land on your workspace dashboard — ready to start creating channels, boards, and documents.

Once your workspace is created, you can customize it further from Settings > General:

What to do next

Now that your workspace is ready, here are the best next steps:

  1. Invite your team members — Add the people you work with
  2. Create a text channel — Set up a place for your team to chat
  3. Create a board — Start tracking tasks and projects
  4. Upload files to Drive — Share documents and files with your team

Only workspace Administrators can change workspace settings. The person who creates the workspace is automatically the Owner with full admin access.
