Mobile App

Copera has a native mobile app for iPhone and Android so you can stay connected to your team when you are away from your computer. The mobile app focuses on the things you most need on the go --- team chat and direct messages, joining meetings, your shared inbox, and push notifications --- so you never miss an important message, call, or email. For deep, focused work like building boards or writing long documents, the web and desktop apps remain the best experience; the mobile app is your companion for keeping up wherever you are.

Installing the App

The Copera mobile app is available on both major app stores:

After installing, open the app and sign in with the same account you use on the web. Your workspaces, conversations, and inboxes are all there waiting for you.

tip

Use the same login on your phone and your computer. Everything stays in sync between them, so a conversation you read on one device is marked read on the other.

What You Can Do on Mobile

The mobile app is built around staying in touch with your team. Here is what it is great for:

Team Chat and Direct Messages

Read and send messages in your text channels and direct messages, just like on the web. You receive new messages in real time and can reply on the go, including in group conversations. Messages can carry text, images, files, audio, and more.

Learn more about chat on the web in Text Channels and Direct Messages.

Meetings and the Virtual Office

You can join your team's meetings and Virtual Office from your phone, with a touch-optimized layout and full audio and video controls. Copera has a dedicated guide for this experience:

When you open a meeting or Virtual Office invite link on a phone, Copera helps you get into the app for the best experience.

Shared Inbox

Your team's shared inbox comes to mobile too. You can read email threads, and new emails arrive as push notifications. Tapping an email notification opens the app directly to that email thread, so you can jump straight to what needs your attention.

Learn more about the inbox on the web in Inbox Overview.

Notifications That Follow You

The mobile app delivers push notifications for the things that matter most --- new messages, new direct messages, new emails in a shared inbox, and other key updates --- so you stay informed even when the app is closed. Tapping a notification takes you straight to the relevant conversation or email.

See the full picture of how Copera notifications work in Notifications & Mentions.

Notifications and Cross-Device Sync

Notifications are one of the strongest reasons to install the mobile app, and they are designed to work seamlessly alongside your other devices.

  • Real push notifications --- New messages and emails appear on your phone's lock screen and notification tray, even when Copera is not open.
  • Deep links --- Tapping a notification opens the exact conversation or email it refers to, not just the app's home screen.
  • Cross-device sync --- When you read, delete, or handle something on one device, the matching notification clears on your other devices automatically. Read an email on your laptop, and it disappears from your phone's tray --- and the other way around.
tip

Allow notifications when the app asks during setup. Push notifications are what let Copera reach you when you are away from your desk. You can fine-tune which conversations are allowed to notify you using Copera's per-channel and per-inbox controls --- see Notifications & Mentions.

info

To change which Copera alerts reach your phone, adjust notification permissions in your device's system settings (under the Copera app), and use Copera's in-app notification preferences to choose what each conversation sends you.

Best Done on Web or Desktop

The mobile app is a companion for staying connected, not a replacement for the full workspace. Some tasks are far easier on a larger screen, and are best done on the web app or the desktop app:

  • Building and heavily editing boards --- Creating tables, columns, views, automations, and dashboards.
  • Writing and formatting long documents --- The full document editor, with all its formatting and layout tools.
  • Detailed administration --- Configuring workspace settings and member management.
  • Voice AI (Bankai) --- Bankai's system-level voice features require the desktop app. See Desktop App.

You can still view and keep up with much of your work from mobile --- the app simply points you to the web or desktop for the heavy lifting.

note

The mobile app continues to improve over time. The capabilities described here reflect what the app is built around today: staying connected through chat, meetings, your inbox, and notifications. If you need the complete feature set, use Copera on the web or desktop.

Tips and Best Practices

tip

Keep the app updated through your app store so you always have the latest features and fixes.

tip

Join meetings on Wi-Fi or strong mobile data, and use headphones to avoid echo. See Virtual Office on Mobile for more.

tip

Pair the mobile app with the web or desktop app: do focused work at your computer, and use your phone to stay reachable and respond quickly when you step away.

Copera has a native app for iPhone and iPad (from the Apple App Store) and for Android phones and tablets (from Google Play). You can also use Copera in your phone's web browser.

Do I use the same account on mobile and web?

Yes. Sign in with the same Copera account on every device. Your workspaces, conversations, and notifications stay in sync across all of them.

Will the mobile app notify me when the app is closed?

Yes. With notifications allowed, the app sends push notifications to your phone even when Copera is not open. Tapping one opens the relevant conversation or email.
