History & Analytics

Bankai tracks your voice usage and surfaces it in the Voice History page. You can see how many words you have spoken, how much time you have saved, your session count, your current streak, and a breakdown of which modes you use most — and review, replay, and retry your past sessions.

Accessing Voice History

From the Voice Settings page, click the View Bankai History button in the header. You can also navigate directly to the Voice History page from the AI section in the sidebar.

Usage Metrics

The Voice History page displays four headline metrics in a card at the top:

Words Spoken

The total number of words you have spoken across all Bankai sessions. This counts every word from dictation, questions, commands, and chat messages.

Time Saved

An estimate of how much time you have saved by speaking instead of typing. This is calculated by comparing your speaking speed to average typing speed. As the number grows, it switches from minutes to hours (for example, "45 min" becomes "2 hrs").

Sessions

The total number of voice recording sessions you have completed. Each time you hold and release the push-to-talk key counts as one session.

Current Streak

The number of consecutive days you have used Bankai. Miss a day and the streak resets to zero. This metric encourages daily use until voice input becomes a habit.

Mode Breakdown

Below the headline metrics, a color-coded bar shows the distribution of your sessions across the modes:

  • Blue --- Dictation
  • Red --- Ask
  • Orange --- Commands
  • Green --- Chat
  • Magenta --- Vision
  • Purple --- Omni

A legend below the bar identifies each color. The bar only shows modes you have actually used, so if you have never used Commands mode, it will not appear in the breakdown.

Session History

Below the metrics card, the page lists your individual voice sessions in reverse chronological order. Each session card shows:

  • The mode used (with its icon and color)
  • The date and time
  • The transcribed text or command
  • The AI response (for Ask, Chat, and Vision modes)
  • The screenshot Bankai captured (for Vision sessions)
  • A small tag when Bankai added a word to your personal dictionary during the session

For Omni sessions, the card also shows the sub-intent Bankai chose — for example "Omni — Ask" or "Omni — Command" — so you can see how it routed your request.

Vision Screenshots

Vision sessions display the screenshot Bankai captured alongside your question and answer. Click a screenshot to open it full-size in a viewer. Screenshots are stored locally on your device, so they appear on the computer where the session happened.

Replaying Audio

On the device that recorded a session, each session card lets you play the recording, download it, and jump straight to it. Because Bankai keeps your audio on your own device rather than uploading it, these controls appear only on the computer that holds the recording.

Retrying a Session

If a transcription or answer was not quite right, click Retry on the session. Bankai re-processes the recording and lets you pick which mode to retry it in — so you can, for example, re-run something as Ask instead of Dictation. Vision retries reuse the screenshot that was already captured.

Continuing in Chat

For question-and-answer sessions, you can continue the thread in Ask Copera AI — the conversation opens in full chat so you can keep digging.

Milestone Celebrations

Bankai celebrates your progress with notification messages at key thresholds. These appear as success notifications when you reach a milestone for the first time:

MilestoneWhen it triggers
First sessionComplete your first Bankai recording
1,000 wordsSpeak your 1,000th word
10,000 wordsSpeak your 10,000th word
50,000 wordsSpeak your 50,000th word
First hour savedAccumulate 60 minutes of estimated time savings
7-day streakUse Bankai for 7 consecutive days

Each milestone is shown only once. Because Bankai remembers which milestones you have already celebrated and syncs that across your devices, you will not get duplicate celebrations whether you switch tabs or move to another computer.

tip

Check your Voice History periodically to see your progress. Many users find that seeing their "Time Saved" metric grow is the strongest motivation to keep using Bankai. Once you see "5 hrs saved," going back to typing feels like a downgrade.

Storage and Retention

You control how long Bankai keeps your data, in the History & Storage card of your Voice Settings:

SettingWhat it controls
Audio retentionHow long your voice recordings are kept on your device.
Transcript retentionHow long your transcribed text and answers are kept.
Storage capA limit on how much disk space recordings can use on your device.
Server retentionHow long Bankai keeps the short-lived context it uses to process your requests.

Vision screenshots follow your audio retention setting.

Clearing Your History

In the desktop app, the History & Storage card includes a Danger zone with a control to clear your local Bankai history.

caution

Clearing your history removes your local recordings and is not reversible. Make sure you have downloaded anything you want to keep first.

  • Vision Mode — Screen-aware sessions and their screenshots.
