AI Teammates

AI teammates in Copera are called agents. An agent is a named AI coworker that lives in its own channel in Channels. You pick its bot, give it a name and choose who can work with it. Everyone you add sees the whole conversation and works with the same agent, and it can only do what its admins allow.

What makes an agent a teammate​

  • It lives in a channel. Talk to it in its channel like you would with a colleague. A channel with only you in it is a private agent.
  • It sets itself up by asking. No setup form: when it needs a board, a permission or a password, it asks with a card in the conversation. See how an agent sets itself up.
  • It only does what you allow. Its admins choose its Powers with presets like Everything except delete or Can view only. See Agent Settings.
  • It asks before anything important. Sending outside your workspace, publishing, deleting, paying, inviting people and sharing outside always ask first.
  • It keeps secrets safe. Passwords and keys go into its vault. It can use them, but never read them.
  • It has its own budget. Each agent gets a share of your workspace's weekly AI allowance.
  • It works on its own too. Routines let it do recurring work on a schedule or when something happens.

From recipe to teammate​

Many recipes in the AI Playbook are jobs you can give an agent: a daily executive briefing, a stale-lead nudger, an onboarding buddy. Create an agent, tell it the job in a sentence or two, and it asks for what it needs. An agent works in its own channel and reaches people with @mentions there, not direct messages, so recipes that DM people run as automations.
