February & March 2026: AI Reimagined, Smarter Email, and 265+ Bug Fixes

You might have noticed things were quieter than usual. No March newsletter, no big announcements. That was intentional. We've been heads-down building something we're incredibly excited about — and we're not quite ready to reveal it yet. What we can tell you: Copera turns one at the end of April, and we're preparing something big to mark the occasion. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, we didn't stop shipping. Over the past two months, we made Copera AI significantly more powerful, added AI superpowers to your Inbox, overhauled our notification system, and squashed 265+ bugs. Here's everything we built while we were "quiet."

Copera AI — Significantly More Powerful​

Copera AI got a major upgrade under the hood. It looks familiar, but it's far more capable:

  • Automatic web search — Copera AI now decides on its own when it needs to search the web to give you a better answer. No toggle, no extra steps — it just does it
  • Website-specific research — Give it a URL and it will search and extract content from that specific site. Perfect for pulling information from documentation, articles, or any webpage
  • Image generation — Ask Copera AI to create images and it will generate them right in the conversation
  • Deep Research mode — For complex questions, switch on Deep Research and Copera AI will perform thorough web research before delivering a comprehensive answer
  • Smarter all around — Better reasoning, better formatting, smoother streaming, and more accurate responses across the board

New: AI Superpowers for Your Inbox​

Your Inbox channels now have AI capabilities you can enable to supercharge your email workflow:

  • Smart classification — Turn on AI classification and incoming emails are automatically categorized so you can focus on what matters most
  • Email summaries — Get quick AI-generated summaries of long email threads
  • Priority detection — AI identifies urgent and important emails so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Overdue follow-up tracking — See which threads need your attention with smart follow-up reminders

Improved: Notifications — Rebuilt from Scratch​

Notifications got a full overhaul in two phases:

  • Grouped notifications — Related notifications are now grouped together, keeping your notification panel clean and organized
  • Due date notifications — Get notified when board items are approaching or past their due dates
  • Notification preferences — Fine-tune which notifications you receive and how you receive them
  • Missed call indicators — Never miss a call — clear visual indicators show when you've missed one
  • Inbox notifications — Real-time notifications for new emails, synced across your workspace

Improved: Meeting Channels​

Meeting channels received several upgrades:

  • Redesigned transcription viewer — A cleaner, more readable transcription experience with better speaker identification and navigation
  • Scheduled meeting bots — Schedule a recording bot to automatically join and transcribe your meetings, even if you can't attend
  • Copy transcription to session comments — Quickly share key moments from a transcription with your team
  • Transcription sharing — Share transcription access with team members who weren't in the meeting

Improved: Boards​

Boards continued to get more powerful:

  • Dynamic formula editor — A new inline editor that makes writing and editing formulas much easier, with live previews and auto-completion
  • Type casting functions — New formula functions to convert between text, numbers, and dates
  • Chat-style row comments — The row activity panel now uses a modern chat-style layout, making conversations on board rows feel more natural
  • Paste files into comments — Drag or paste images and files directly into row comments
  • Notification automations — Trigger notifications automatically when board conditions are met
  • Workflow improvements — Conditional approvers (route approvals based on field values), bulk status updates across multiple rows, and configurable comment visibility per workflow stage
  • Image annotations — Annotate images directly within Copera with drawing tools, text, and markers

Improved: Inbox​

Beyond the AI features, Inbox received more polish:

  • Calendar invitation RSVP — Receive calendar invitations in your inbox and respond (Accept, Decline, Tentative) directly from the email — no need to leave Copera
  • Signature formatting — Email signatures are now properly preserved when sending replies
  • Smarter spam handling — If you manually mark an email as spam, AI won't override your decision
  • Faster thread loading — Improved caching makes browsing your inbox noticeably faster

Improved: Drive​

  • Better drag-and-drop — Drag files and folders around your Drive with improved visual feedback and smoother interactions
  • Improved context menus — Right-click any file or folder for quick actions, now with better organization and new options
  • Shared folder improvements — Clearer visual indicators for shared content and easier access management
