Recordings & History

Every classroom session is automatically logged in the channel's history, giving administrators a complete record of when sessions took place, who started them, and how participants engaged. If recording was enabled, playback links become available shortly after the session ends.

Viewing Past Sessions

Administrators can see a Recent Sessions section below the hero area on the classroom channel page. Each session card displays:

  • Date --- When the session took place.
  • Time --- The time the session started.
  • Instructor --- The name of the admin who started the session.

You can search past sessions by date or instructor name using the search field above the session grid. If the list is long, click Load More Sessions to see older entries.

Session Analytics (Learning Dashboard)

Each past session has an Analytics button that opens the Learning Dashboard. The dashboard provides a detailed breakdown of participant engagement:

  • Total participants --- How many people joined the session.
  • Average activity score --- A normalized engagement metric based on talk time, webcam usage, chat messages, and hand raises.
  • Chat messages --- Total messages sent during the session.
  • Reactions --- Emoji reactions used by participants.
  • Polls --- Number of polls conducted, with response breakdowns.

The dashboard includes three tabs:

TabContents
OverviewA table listing every participant with their online time, talk time, webcam time, messages, reactions, hand raises, and activity score.
TimelineA chronological view of presentation slides shared during the session.
PollsResults of any polls conducted, showing questions, answer distributions, and total responses.

You can also download the session data as a CSV file for offline analysis or compliance reporting.

Accessing Recordings

If recording was enabled when the session started, a Recording button appears on the session card. Clicking it syncs the latest recording data from the server and opens the playback in a new tab.

note

Recordings take approximately 10 to 30 minutes to process after a session ends. If you click the button before processing is complete, you will see an informational message asking you to try again later.

Recordings are stored in a presentation format that includes the video feed, screen shares, slide transitions, and chat messages --- providing a full replay of the session experience.

Who Can See What

  • Administrators can view the full session history, analytics dashboards, and recordings for the channel.
  • Members can join active sessions but do not have access to the session history or Learning Dashboard from the channel page.

This separation ensures that sensitive engagement data remains visible only to the people who need it.
